Mumbai, Sept. 21 -- The key equity benchmarks continued to trade with modest gains in mid-morning trade, aided by cooling crude oil prices, fresh foreign fund inflows and positive global cues. The Nifty traded above the 23,350 mark, while FMCG shares advanced after declining in the past trading session.

At 11:30 IST, the barometer index, the S&P BSE Sensex, jumped 443.60 points or 0.60% to 74,738.56. The Nifty 50 index rose 46.20 points or 0.20% to 23,394.00.

In the broader market, the BSE 150 MidCap Index added 0.07% and the BSE 250 SmallCap Index rose 0.12%.

The market breadth was positive. On the BSE, 2,082 shares rose and 2,018 shares fell. A total of 278 shares were unchanged.
