Mumbai, Sept. 7 -- Natural Gas futures are slipping after hitting a seven-week high amid a rise in US inventories and steady supply outlook. Working natural gas in storage across the US rose by 30 billion cubic feet (Bcf) in the week ending August 28, compared to the previous seven-day period, to reach 3,214 Bcf. The total working gas was within the five-year historical range. Meanwhile, the total number of active drilling rigs for gas in the US stand at 130, which is 12 more than this time last year. This is pushing the commodity lower as highs around $3 per mmbtu capped upside in last few sessions. The commodity currently quotes at $2.93 per mmbtu, down 1.28% on the day.
