Indian Rupee hits near one month high
Mumbai, Oct. 13 -- Indian Rupee extended its massive gains seen in last session and moved up around 60 paise against the US dollar. RBI announced a slew of measures over the weekend to curb dollar demand and speculation, pulling Rupee from record low. Sustained selling pressure in crude oil also boosted the local currency as the INR approached near 95 mark today, hitting one month high. Meanwhile, economic outlook remains broadly supported as well. The International Monetary Fund (IMF) has raised India's GDP growth forecast to 7 per cent for 2026-27, up from 6.4 per cent in July.
