India's 10-year bond yield nears 7% mark, markets eye Q1FY27 GDP data
Mumbai, Aug. 31 -- India's government bond yields zoomed near three-month high as market eyed firm global cues. US yields rose after Federal Reserve Chairman Kevin Warsh noted in his Jackson Hole speech on Friday that the central bank may not be done fighting inflation. The long term 10-year yields hold around 4.71% mark today. Meanwhile, local 10-year bond yield is at 6.95%, holding mostly in a range. Domestic markets are keenly waiting for the release of India's GDP figures for the April-June quarter of FY27. The month end data on government finances is also in focus.
