Mumbai, June 5 -- The Reserve Bank of India on Friday raised Rs 34,000 crore through the auction of the 6.94% Government Security 2036, with the issue attracting bids worth more than twice the notified amount.

The RBI had notified an issuance of Rs 34,000 crore through the 10-year benchmark 6.94% GS 2036.

The security received strong investor interest, with 382 competitive bids aggregating Rs 73,726.26 crore against the notified amount of Rs 34,000 crore.

The cut-off price was set at Rs 99.79, translating into a yield of 6.9686%.

The weighted average price stood at Rs 99.82, while the weighted average yield came in at 6.9644%.
