Government bond auction: RBI raises Rs 28,000 crore through new 2041 bond and 7.43% GS 2076
Mumbai, July 24 -- The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) on Friday raised Rs 28,000 crore through the auction of a new 2041 government security and the 7.43% GS 2076 bond, with strong investor demand for both securities.
The RBI had notified Rs 17,000 crore for the new Government Security maturing in 2041 and Rs 11,000 crore for the 7.43% GS 2076.
The new GS 2041 attracted 276 competitive bids worth Rs 49,600 crore against the notified amount of Rs 17,000 crore. The cut-off price was fixed at Rs 100.00, translating into a yield of 7.0600%.
