Mumbai, Aug. 6 -- Private payrolls in the United States rose by 44,000 in July, Automatic Data Processing Inc. (ADP) said in its report published on Wednesday.
Most new hirings, 27,000, were registered in small enterprises with between 1 and 19 employees. Large enterprises with more than 500 staff members employed 13,000 new workers. Mid-sized enterprises with between 250 and 499 employees hired 6,000 people, while those with between 50 and 249 workers hired 2,000. On the other hand, small enterprises with between 20 and 49 employees dismissed 4,000 posts.
