Mumbai, June 19 -- The number of seasonally adjusted initial jobless claims in the United States decreased by 4,000 from last week's revised figure to 226,000 in the week ending June 13, the Department of Labor revealed in its report on Thursday. Meanwhile, the four-week moving average rose by 4,000 from the previous week's revised average to reach 223,250.
The advance seasonally adjusted insured unemployment rate for the week ending June 6 stood at 1.2%, unchanged from the week before. Meanwhile, the insured unemployed figure for the same week stood at 1,810,000, going up by 24,000 from the previous week's revised figure, and the four-week moving average was up by 9,750 to land at 1,788,000.
