Mumbai, Aug. 21 -- The United Kingdom's retail sales volumes increased by 1.6% in July compared to the same month a year prior, the Office for National Statistics shared in a report published on Friday.
On a monthly basis, the figure declined by 0.5%, with non-store retailing down 3.6% and textile, clothing, and footwear store sales down 2.7%. Meanwhile, automotive fuel sales jumped by 3.8% compared with the previous month.
In the three months to July, sales volumes went up by 1.1% quarter-on-quarter and rose by 3% year-on-year.
