Mumbai, Sept. 11 -- UK industrial production rose 0.2% month-on-month in July, marking its first monthly increase since April, supported by a 0.9% recovery in manufacturing output. Production of computer, electronic and optical products led the gains, while water and waste management also strengthened. Mining and quarrying, however, fell sharply, alongside weaker electricity and gas output. On an annual basis, industrial production increased 0.6%.
