Mumbai, July 1 -- The UK's Nationwide House Price Index rose 2.2% year-on-year in June, accelerating from a 1.7% increase in May, while matching market expectations. On a monthly basis, house prices were unchanged after a 0.6% gain in the previous month. Regionally, Northern Ireland remained the strongest-performing market, with house prices climbing 8.6% from a year earlier in the second quarter.
