Mumbai, May 14 -- The UK economy expanded by 0.6% in the first quarter of 2026, marking its strongest growth since Q1 2025 and improving from a revised 0.2% rise in the previous quarter. Growth was mainly driven by the services sector, particularly wholesale and retail trade, while manufacturing and construction activity also contributed positively. On an annual basis, the UK economy grew by 1.1% in Q1 2026.
