Mumbai, June 12 -- Japan's industrial production rose 0.5% month-over-month in April 2026, reversing a 0.4% decline in March, though missing the preliminary estimate of 0.8%. The increase was supported by stronger machinery and electronics output amid resilient overseas demand. On an annual basis, factory output grew 2.0%, marking the fifth consecutive month of expansion. However, ongoing Middle East tensions continue to pose risks to supply chains and energy prices.
