Mumbai, July 24 -- Japan's food inflation eased to 3.2% year-on-year in June 2026 from 3.5% in May, marking the slowest increase since July 2024. Price growth moderated for fresh vegetables, cakes and candies, prepared foods, and beverages, while cereal prices declined for a second consecutive month. However, inflation accelerated for fish and seafood, meat, dairy products, oils and seasonings, alcoholic beverages, and dining out.
