Mumbai, Sept. 15 -- Industrial production in China rose by 5.2% in August compared to the same month in the previous year, according to a report by the National Bureau of Statistics released on Tuesday. Month-on-month, industrial output increased by 0.7%.
Manufacturing was up by 6.1%, while mining decreased by 1.4%, and the production and supply of electricity, heat power, gas and water increased by 4.9%.
High-tech product output led the expansion, with lithium-ion batteries, industrial robots, and 3D printing devices growing by 57.2%, 34.6%, and 29.9%, respectively.
