Mumbai, May 18 -- Industrial production in China increased by 4.1% in April compared to the same month a year ago, according to a report by the National Bureau of Statistics of China released on Monday. Month-on-month, the industrial output grew by 0.05%.

In the first four months of the year, industrial production added 5.6% on a yearly basis. Manufacturing was up by 5.8%, mining by 5.5% and the production and supply of electricity, heat power, gas and water went up by 4.5%.

The output of 3D printing devices rose the most at 50.9%, followed by lithium-ion batteries at 36% and industrial robots at 25.7%.
