Mumbai, Oct. 7 -- China's foreign exchange reserves fell by $38.1 billion to $3.4 trillion at the end of September, pressured by a stronger US dollar and surging Treasury yields that weighed on asset valuations. In contrast, the PBOC raised its gold holdings to 77.47 million fine troy ounces from 76.73 million ounces, extending its gold-buying streak to 23 consecutive months.
