Mumbai, April 30 -- China's factory activity continued to expand in April, though at a slower pace than the previous month. The official manufacturing PMI came in at 50.3, staying above the 50 mark that separates growth from contraction.

Meanwhile, non-manufacturing activity slipped into contraction, with the PMI falling to 49.4 from 50.1 in March, indicating weaker performance in both services and construction.

The overall composite PMI, which combines manufacturing and services activity, edged down to 50.1 from 50.5 in the previous month.
