Mumbai, Aug. 21 -- Indian bond yields are rising with the benchmark 10-year yields hitting eight-week high amid firm global cues and a slightly hawkish tilt in latest RBI policy minutes. The US bond yields zoomed higher yesterday. The yield on the 10-year US Treasury note rose by more than 5 basis points to 4.70%, surpassing the level prior to the Treasury Department's announcement of an expanded repurchase program. WTI Crude oil prices also spiked to a four-week high yesterday, scaling up around 3%. India's 10-year bond yields have broken above 6.80% mark this week and currently linger at 6.86%.
