Mumbai, Sept. 28 -- COMEX Copper futures corrected heavily today as metals slumped amid rising US treasury yields and tepid cues from equities. In Asia, China's Shanghai Composite index fell 1.67%, adding to latest losses while Hong Kong's Hang Seng added 0.54%. Japan's Nikkei average gave up 0.73% after good gains in last session. European stocks are witnessing choppy moves. The US stocks ended on positive note in last session but overall mood was cautious amid rising bond yields and volatile crude oil prices. COMEX Copper futures are currently down 1.91% at $6.64 per pound, testing around one and half week low. MCX Copper is lower by 1.16% at Rs 1402 per kg after falling well under Rs 1400 mark today.
