Mumbai, Aug. 31 -- Precious metals speculators added to their net long positions in the Silver futures markets last week after recent declines, according to the latest Commitment of Traders (COT) data released by the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC). The non-commercial futures contracts of Silver futures, traded by large speculators, hedge funds and retailers, totaled a net position of 25261 contracts in the data reported through August 25, 2026. This was a weekly surge of 1636 net contracts and pulled up net longs from seven-week low.
