Commodities Buzz: Global Gold ETF reverse two consecutive months of outflows
Mumbai, Aug. 6 -- World Gold Council or WGC stated in a latest update that global gold backed ETFs added US$3 billion in July, reversing two consecutive months of outflows. Inflows were broad-based, with all regions contributing, led by European-listed funds. Positive flows, together with a higher gold price, lifted global gold ETF assets under management (AUM) by 1% to US$530 billion. Collective holdings rose by 23 tonnes to 4,068 tonnes, remaining below the record high of 4,176 tonnes, reached on 27 February 2026.
