Mumbai, Sept. 15 -- Precious metals continued to tumble as a sharp rise in crude oil prices pushed up expectations of a hike from the US Federal reserve this week. The US dollar index zoomed above 99 mark and pulled bullion counters near six-week low. The US 10-year Treasury yield spiked to 5.02%, adding to its recent gains and hitting highest level since 2007. This pulled down bullion counters alarmingly and COMEX Gold futures are trading at $4309 per ounce, down around 1% on the day. COMEX silver is trading down 1.40% at $63.26 an ounce. MCX Gold futures are trading at Rs 151701 per 10 grams, down 0.62% on the day. MCX Silver is trading at Rs 230303 per kg, down around 1%.
