Mumbai, Oct. 1 -- COMEX copper stayed weak near a two-week low on Thursday as the US dollar index was firm above 101 mark amid elevated oil prices. Currently, the counter is quoting at $6.58 per pound, down 0.55% on the day. Meanwhile, Asian stocks were largely supported. Japan's Nikkei index rallied more than 3% to a six-week high. European markets slumped with major indices losing more than half a percent. The US stocks eased on final day of September but saw an overall mixed performance during the day as a key US inflation reading slowed last month. MCX Copper is down marginally to trade at Rs 1401.05 per kg.
