Mumbai, Oct. 1 -- Amid growing power demand, Coal India (CIL) augmented its coal supplies by 12.5% to 61.20 million tonnes (MT) in September FY 2026-27, compared with 54.40 MT during the corresponding month of the previous fiscal. Supplies to the power sector also registered strong growth of 10.63%, during the month rising to 48.90 MT from 44.20 MT in previous fiscal.
