Mumbai, Sept. 24 -- The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has formed boards in 197 of the 301 urban local bodies in Rajasthan for which results have been declared, while the Congress has secured 94, according to election results announced on 21 September 2026.

Independent candidates have been elected as chairpersons in seven urban local bodies. The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), Communist Party of India (Marxist) and Rashtriya Loktantrik Party (RLP) have secured one chairperson post each.

Results for five municipal corporations were also declared on 21 September. The BJP won four mayoral contests, while the Congress won Bikaner. BJP candidates were elected mayors in Alwar, Udaipur, Ajmer and Pali.
