Mumbai, Aug. 25 -- The product, a biosimilar to Neulasta, is developed and manufactured by Biocon Biologics, parent entity of Biocon Biologics UK PLC, with Global Regulatory Partners Japan serving as the marketing authorization holder on behalf of Biocon. Sandoz K.K. shall exclusively promote, sell, and distribute the product in Japan.

Pegfilgrastim is a prescription injection used to lower the risk of infection in people receiving strong cancer chemotherapy or those exposed to high doses of radiation.
