Mumbai, Aug. 13 -- COMEX copper slips to a one-week low on Thursday morning in Asia as dollar gained momentum near 100 mark amid renewed geopolitical tensions surrounding Strait of Hormuz. The counter is currently holding at $6.56 per pound, down close to 1% on the day. Meanwhile in overnight equities, The Nasdaq and the S&P 500 finished the day higher, partly offsetting the weakness seen to start the week. The tech-heavy Nasdaq climbed 143.04 points or 0.5 percent to 26,588.49 and the S&P 500 rose 20.30 points or 0.3 percent to 7,748.50.
