Mumbai, May 8 -- The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has provided an analysis of weekly overall rainfall distribution during the week ending on 6 May and the Pre-Monsoon Season's Rainfall Scenario (01.03.2026 to 06.05.2026): The country as a whole, the weekly cumulative All India Rainfall (ending on 06 May) in % departure from its long period average (LPA) is +79%. All India Seasonal cumulative rainfall % departure during this year's Pre-Monsoon Season Rainfall (01.03.2026 to 06.05.2026) is 8%.
