Mumbai, July 30 -- Yields on longer-dated U.S. Treasuries rose on Wednesday as traders weighed whether the Federal Reserve can keep inflation at bay following its latest monetary policy decision.

The 30-year Treasury bond yield jumped 10.5 bps to 5.20%. It also hit its highest level since July 2007 at 5.24%. The benchmark 10-year note yield also climbed nearly 7 bps to 4.67%.

Shorter-dated treasuries rose, pushing yields lower. The 2-year yield traded 4 bps lower at 4.23%.
