10-year US Treasury yield above 4.70% mark on Warsh effect
Mumbai, Aug. 31 -- US bond markets are now pricing in effects of elevated inflation outlook. The US 2-year Treasury yields jumped on Friday higher after Federal Reserve Chairman Kevin Warsh noted in his Jackson Hole speech that the central bank may not be done fighting inflation. The long term 10-year yields also zoomed up above 4.70% mark and currently linger around 4.71% mark as markets waited for a raft of data like PMI releases and non-farm payrolls this week.
