Nairobi, May 5 -- Warren Buffett, the world's most famous investor, has offered a health grant to Kenya for the second successive year, helping fill the gap left by cuts in foreign donations by US President Donald Trump.

The Treasury has disclosed that the Susan Thompson Buffett Foundation will wire Sh3.8 billion directly to the State Department of Medical Services, marking the second year the non-profit organisation associated with the veteran investor is making the donation. The money is for the financial year starting July.

The spending plan tabled in the National Assembly indicates that the Susan Thompson Buffett Foundation will, for the first time, directly finance the Kenyan government.
