Nairobi, Oct. 29 -- Schools are set to be added to the electronic public procurement portal (e-GP), in a fresh push to curb graft and expose beneficiaries of public contracts worth billions of shillings annually.

The rollout will shift school tenders from fragmented manual processes to a centralised online system linked to the government's financial and administrative databases, raising hopes of transparency and closure of loopholes that have clouded procurement in public learning institutions.
