Nairobi, July 23 -- When the white Huawei mobile classroom rolls into a town, it rarely does so quietly.

In Lamu, residents watched as a fully equipped digital classroom parked near the training venue, bringing with it computers, internet connectivity and something many young people had never experienced before - a chance to acquire digital skills without travelling hundreds of kilometres to a city.

In Garissa, young people filled every available seat inside the classroom, eager to learn how technology could improve their livelihoods.
