Nairobi, Oct. 7 -- Firms in the South Lokichar oil project are seeking to hire 68 employees including engineers and other professionals signalling an employment boom in the country's petroleum sector ahead of two key projects.

Oildrop Africa, a recruitment firm in the gas and oil sector, on Wednesday invited applications for six slots for engineers in the petroleum sector and one health expert vacancy ahead of the start of commercial production of crude oil by December 1, 2026.
