Srinagar, October 24, Oct. 24 -- On the occasion of World Polio Day, Brighter Kashmir has called for sustained public awareness about polio vaccination, urging parents and caregivers to ensure that every child receives polio drops and all routine vaccines on time. India was certified polio-free by the World Health Organization in 2014. However, the continued presence of poliovirus in parts of the world highlights the importance of maintaining high vaccination coverage and remaining vigilant against the risk of the disease returning.
