Srinagar, July 17 -- Gendered Barriers in Political Life It was a political environment that necessitated adaptive campaigning approaches that were not evocative of traditional models of mass mobilization and performative politics. In the case of women leaders, and specifically Sakeena Itoo, campaigning was done mainly through small, community based gatherings, focus on personal contact and depending on trust networks and not big public rallies.
