Srinagar, October 6, Oct. 6 -- A 53-year-old woman died after being struck by an e-rickshaw in the Ishbar Nishat area on the outskirts of Srinagar, police said. The woman, identified as Shafiqa, wife of Mushtaq Ahmad Lone and a resident of Ishbar Nishat, suffered serious head injuries in the accident. She was initially taken to a hospital for treatment and was later referred to SKIMS, where she succumbed to her injuries. The accident involved an e-rickshaw bearing registration number JK01BE-5707. Police have arrested the driver and initiated further proceedings in connection with the incident.
