UCC won't be implemented in J&K: Omar
Srinagar, Oct 6, Oct. 7 -- Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Tuesday said Uniform Civil Code (UCC) won't be implemented in Jammu and Kashmir and welcomed the Supreme Court's remarks questioning voter deletions under the Special Intensive Revision.Talking to media persons, Omar said the Uniform Civil Code (UCC) will not be implemented in Jammu and Kashmir as such a pan-India law ought to be debated and passed in Parliament.He said Uniform Civil Code is not truly "uniform" until it is implemented everywhere."In Bihar as well, Nitish Kumar's party has said they will not implement it.
