Baramulla, Oct 28, Oct. 28 -- Two young men lost their lives after a mound of sand collapsed on them during sand extraction in Dachanpora area of Rafiabad in north Kashmir's Baramulla district. According to officials, the incident took place late Tuesday night when a mound of sand suddenly gave way, trapping both men underneath. The victims remained buried overnight, and their bodies were retrieved on Wednesday morning following efforts by local residents and police. The deceased have been identified as Javid Ahmad Mir, 28, and Mohammad Anees Malik, 29, both residents of Dachanpora. Police have taken cognizance of the incident and initiated further investigation into the circumstances surrounding the deaths.
