Anantnag, June 15, June 16 -- Continuing its efforts to curb drug abuse and safeguard the youth from the menace of narcotics, Police in Anantnag detected two individuals allegedly under the influence of intoxicating substances during routine patrolling in separate areas of the district. A police party from Police Station Anantnag, while conducting patrolling duties, found one individual identified as Rashid Shafi Bhat son of Mohammad Shafi Bhat resident of Monghall, Anantnag in a suspicious condition indicative of drug abuse. He was immediately taken to Government Medical College (GMC) Anantnag for medical examination, where his test report returned positive for drug consumption.
