Kargil, August 3, Aug. 3 -- Army troops from the Forever in Operations Division launched relief and restoration operations in the Gund area of Hardass in Kargil district after a cloudburst triggered flash floods, officials said. The troops reached the affected area soon after the incident and evacuated residents from vulnerable locations. They also provided first aid, drinking water, cooked meals and other essential supplies to people affected by the flooding. Working alongside the civil administration, the Army helped clear debris and restore road connectivity.
