Budgam, July 24, July 25 -- Vehicular movement through Beerwah town in central Kashmir's Budgam district resumed on Saturday after authorities restored the diversion over Nallah Sukhnag, which had remained closed for four days after being damaged by flash floods. The diversion was washed away on July 21 when heavy rainfall triggered flash floods in Nallah Sukhnag, bringing traffic to a halt and causing significant inconvenience to commuters, transporters, traders and local residents. Officials of the Roads and Buildings Department said restoration work was carried out on a priority basis, with teams and machinery working continuously to reconstruct the damaged diversion.
