Ganderbal, June 17, June 18 -- Transport Commissioner Vishesh Mahajan on Tuesday visited Sonamarg and Baltal to review transport arrangements and preparedness for the smooth conduct of the Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra 2026. Accompanied by RTO Kashmir Qazi Irfan, ARTO Ganderbal Anis Ahmed and other officials, the Transport Commissioner chaired a meeting with officers of the Transport Department, Traffic Police, transport operators and other stakeholder agencies to assess readiness and ensure seamless transportation facilities for pilgrims.During the meeting, Mahajan stressed that only roadworthy and properly certified vehicles should be deployed for Yatra duties.
