Rajouri, July 30, July 30 -- The strategically important Thannamandi, DKG, Bufliaz road in Rajouri district remained closed on Thursday, 13 days after it was severely damaged by heavy rainfall, cloudbursts and landslides. The road, developed by the Border Roads Organisation (BRO), serves as a key link between the border districts of Rajouri and Poonch and the Kashmir Valley. It sustained extensive damage after a cloudburst on July 19 triggered flash floods and landslides, washing away sections of the newly built road, damaging culverts and uprooting trees at several locations.
