Chandel, June 2, June 3 -- Assam Rifles conducted a tuberculosis (TB) awareness programme and health check-up camp in Molcham and Phaisangjang villages of Chandel district as part of the ongoing TB Mukt Abhiyaan initiative. The medical outreach camp was organised on June 1, 2026, with the objective of spreading awareness about tuberculosis prevention, early detection, and treatment among rural populations. A total of 70 villagers benefited from the initiative, receiving medical consultations, health screenings, and essential medicines.Healthcare personnel engaged with residents to educate them about the symptoms of TB, modes of transmission, and the importance of timely diagnosis and adherence to treatment protocols.
