Srinagar sizzles at 35degC as heatwave grips Kashmir
Srinagar, July 17, July 18 -- Kashmir reeled under intense heatwave conditions on Friday with Srinagar recording a scorching maximum temperature of 35.0degC. According to MeT data, Srinagar recorded a maximum temperature of 35.0degC, which was 4.9degC above normal.Qazigund recorded 33.2degC, which is 5.2degC above normal, while Kokernag registered 32.9degC, the highest positive departure of 5.3degC above normal.In the border district of Kupwara, the mercury also touched 35.0degC, remaining 4.1degC above normal.Tourist destinations also witnessed warmer-than-normal conditions with Pahalgam recording 27.4degC and Gulmarg 25.6degC, both above their respective normal temperatures.In the Jammu region, Jammu city recorded 35.8degC, while Baniha...
