Srinagar, July 18, July 19 -- Srinagar recorded the hottest day of the season on Saturday as the maximum temperature soared to 35.9 degrees Celsius as the Valley remained in the grip of intense heatwave. A MeT official said Srinagar recorded a maximum temperature of 35.9 degrees Celsius today, which was 5.8 degrees Celsius above normal.It was the hottest day of the season in Srinagar.The temperature, however, remained below last year's peak of 37.4 degrees Celsius recorded on July 6.Srinagar had also recorded 36.2 degrees Celsius on July 29, 2024.Several places across Kashmir also witnessed unusually high temperatures with Kupwara recording 35.6 degrees Celsius, Baramulla and Ganderbal 34.5 degrees Celsius each, Shopian 34.4 degrees Celsi...
