Srinagar may record season's hottest day amid 3-day heatwave
Srinagar, July 16, July 17 -- A prolonged spell of hot and dry weather is expected to persist across the Kashmir Valley for next three days with Srinagar likely to witness its hottest day of the season. According to independent weather forecaster Aadil Maqbool, a prolonged spell of dry, hot and stable weather is expected to persist across the Valley over the next 72 hours, till July 18.He said maximum temperatures in Srinagar is likely to touch 36 to 37 degrees Celsius."Most plains of Kashmir are expected to remain 5 to 8 degrees above the seasonal average, significantly increasing heat stress in the Valley," he said.Aadil said for Jammu region, no significant rise in day temperatures is expected as monsoon like conditions will continue.A...
