Guwahati, Aug 3, Aug. 4 -- Intelligence-based joint operations conducted by the Indian Army and Assam Rifles formations under Spear Corps, in coordination with state police forces, have resulted in the arrest of 43 individuals and the seizure of narcotics and other contraband worth approximately Rs.76.12 crore across Assam, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura. The operations were carried out from July 1 to July 31, 2026, based on specific intelligence inputs regarding illegal activities and movement of contraband in the region.During the coordinated operations, security forces recovered a large quantity of narcotic substances, including approximately 3.67 kg of heroin, 14.95 kg of methamphetamine/Yaba/crystal meth, and around 30,000 Yaba tablets...
